Mars' new album is less than a week away, and Jared Leto can't wait to tell Buzz Aldrin about it. Thirty Seconds To Mars are less than a week away from the release of their LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS album, but at the moment, they have more important things on their minds. "I'm talking to Buzz-F---ing-Aldrin right now!" Jared Leto exclaimed, furiously texting away on his phone. "He came to our 'Church of Mars' show in DC — one of the free shows we're doing around the country — and it was, needless to say, amazing to meet him." "We got to meet him the other day in DC and it was so cool to have that dude in the room," Tomo Milicevic added. "Plus, we have one of the most amazing Vines ever with him, where he's doing the 'Best Time Ever' face." In case you were wondering, here is what doing the "Best Time Ever" face with the second guy to ever walk on the moon looks like. Of course, Mars are pretty used to rubbing elbows with astronauts these days; back in March, they launched the first copy of their single "Up In The Air" into orbit on board a SpaceX rocket, then conducted a live Q&A with one of the astronauts living on the International Space Station. In short, they've literally gone out of their way (like, thousands of miles above the planet) to promote their new record, so while chatting with Buzz Aldrin is nice and all, Mars also realized it was time to get down to business: LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS is due to be released on May 21, and needless to say, after a lengthy break (that kinda, maybe almost became a hiatus of sorts), they're ready to hit the road hard, and push the band to new heights. Yes, even higher than outer space. "I think people are really going to respond well to the record; we worked on it incredibly hard. If you're a fan of Thirty Seconds To Mars, or you loved 'The Kill' or 'Kings and Queens' or 'Closer to the Edge' or This is War, I think you're going to love this record," Leto said. "You're going to come on a journey with us; it's an evolution in some ways, but not so much as it is a new beginning ... we've thrown away a lot of the past, we've moved on, and it's exciting. I think a lot of people are probably ready for that."
Kerrang Magazine presented an article about 30 Seconds To Mars in its May edition. An interesting interview of the new tour and forth album Love Lust Faith + Dreams, coming the next 21th May.

| Jared Leto say that the 4th 30 Seconds To Mars album nearly didn't happen because being sued by their former record label nearly destroyed them. 'The last record we had quite a few problems,' Jared tells Noise11. 'We battled our record company. They sued us for $30 million. We made a film about it called Artifact, a documentary that is coming out later this summer'. The $30 million figure would have wiped them out. 'It was mind-blowing, The number was too big to conceptualise it but it was very real,' he said. 'Not only was there the financial risk at stake but there was the risk of losing our careers. | We felt we had an important and just fight. I am glad we stood up for what we believed in. Ultimately we were victorious and we are here. The story went exactly as it was supposed too'. After the case was dismissed, 30 Seconds To Mars started work on their latest album 'Love Lust Faith + Dreams'. 'This album was really great. It was wonderful to make an album without the pressures of battling an entire industry,' Jared says. 'We had been on the road for two and a half years and played far too many shows but we learned a lot and we took what we learned back into the studio'. 'Love Lust Faith + Dream' will be released in Australia this Friday and in the USA next Tuesday, May 21st. Watch the Noise11 interview with Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars here: |

This is only part one of my time with Thirty Seconds To Mars today! The guys were a bit hopped up on coffee (Tomo....) and they were feeling a bit chatty so after they guest hosted on Radio 104.5 we went into the Performance Studio to talk about the upcoming album Love Lust Faith + Dreams...and somehow that turned to donkey sex. Oh well, these things happen. In this clip we talked more about videos the guys would like to do. Maybe a spoof on the movie Airplane?
Watch the video of 30 Seconds to Mars wishing and singing "Happy Birthday" to Radio 104.5 at Philadelphia, PA. Also you can see all the photos from the interview that took place on May 13 in the program Off The Air, at Radio 104.5 with Wendy.
